The old adage goes that getting old beats the alternative. The alternative being death, of course. There are a whole lotta other things that beat the alternative, too. I intend to write about, photograph and celebrate them here. And by celebrate I mean cake, flowers, friends, wine, laughter and dancing!
It’s all here, and you’re invited!
Hey there, I nominated you for this http://publictransituser.wordpress.com/2013/11/23/most-influential-blogger-award/
Thank you! That is very motivational, and I am very flattered!
You are welcome đŸ™‚
neat to see how your journaling has evolved from 3 x 5 cards to blogging đŸ™‚
I only started writing a journal because it was a high school requirement. I used to keep it up for a few years after school but haven’t written anything for years now.
I do enjoy my blog tho. Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you liked my photo for the weekly challenge.
I would have been so mad at anyone reading my private thoughts too. And it’s a shame that someone did and you felt compelled to burn them. Piles of paper filed away never see the light of day and I thought I would use some of them in my blog. But, apart from a couple of early posts, it’s turned out to be all new stuff. And now sharing doesn’t seem to be a problem at all. But then, when we’re posting for public perusal we get to choose how we say it. The idea of taking earlier stuff and sharing that in its current format would still be a problem for me without editing it. In journals it’s guts and all and no one should have the right to read that without your permission. It’s like a patient’s therapy notes being raided.
But isn’t blogging wonderful? Journaling with a difference. đŸ™‚ x
Thank you so much for stopping by more than a few times!!! I am going to get caught up on replying to your comments over the weekend. I’ve been working some 12-hr days, and then trying to get my 25 song posts in . . . well, you get the idea . . . but I did want to make sure I said thank you, and I’m so glad to have found a new friend!
Saw you on my Who To Follow on Twitter and only ended up lost twice on my way to find you here. You were right in that you had no idea where you were going, but I decided to Follow you in both places anyway. đŸ™‚
Dang! You are persistent, my friend! Wonder if it was because I changed the blog title at one point? Welcome aboard!
Hi .. I too started writing my Memories mostly for posterity and also appreciation. Writing also helps me understand my feelings and there are many times I write just for myself with no intent of sharing.
I started on your memoir on your Dad which is absorbing reading but a couple of things to do before the big 101 challenge I’ve entered .. so will be around
Thanks for taking the time to stop, read, and comment. This — blogging — has been such a good therapy for me. I am see things in a much different way since I began.
Thanks for coming in to see me at Steve Says…come again, stay a while – have a drink even! Happy blogging. Steve…
Sounds lovely. I think I will!
